I just wanted to share the amazing and memorable icons designed by Susan Kare who pioneered as a user interface graphics designer in the early 80s when she worked at Apple Computer Inc. She has two websites: www.kare.com where she offers her services and www.kareprints.com where she sell prints.

 

Helvetica

A few months back I saw the documentary Helvetica. Must say that I loved it. I better understood the craze about this font and bought into it. But then I found myself only using Helvetica all the time.. it became laziness… “just use Helvetica and it’ll look nice”. There are other type faces that are good for all sorts of purposes.

Any way, here is the trailer to documentary and if you find yourself bored one day watch it just for general typographic culture.
